Community grants available from the Alleghany County Community Foundation

The board of advisors of the Alleghany County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving Alleghany County and will be awarded from the community grantmaking fund. Larger amounts may be considered for projects or initiatives with the potential to achieve a significant positive impact for Alleghany County. Total grantmaking will not exceed $16,000.

Applications are available beginning Friday, March 18. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, April 19 at noon.

Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel, or for individuals. Funds are awarded by the board of advisors of the Alleghany County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).

“Our community is better because of our nonprofit organizations,” said Brett Liverman, board president. “We are thrilled to continue our tradition of serving these institutions in Alleghany County by offering these grants.”

About the Alleghany County Community Foundation

The Alleghany County Community Foundation (ACCF) is a growing family of philanthropic funds, source of grants for local causes, and partner for donors.
