Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement offers grants

The Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement’s mission is to inspire Duplin County citizens to make lasting and meaningful contributions to our community by offering grants that provide local children life-enhancing programs and character development experiences that give our youth opportunities to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Grant Cycle Dates
The 2013 grant application cycle begins on Friday, July 5 and closes on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.  The online application will be available beginning July 5th through the North Carolina Community Foundation website.  Grant awards are announced in September.

Grant Workshops

DFYA will offer two grant workshops on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. at James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville.  The workshops are free, but seating is limited, so please call 910-509-7256 or email Patricia Lawler by Monday, July 8 to register.

Who Can Apply?

DFYA Grant Application Criteria

We believe that all youth are worthy of our investment and can contribute positively to our community.  These grants will provide local children life-enhancing programs and character development experiences that can give them the opportunity to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Grants are available to local organizations with programs focusing on youth in Duplin County.  Priority is given to proposals that incorporate a holistic approach and include one or more of the following focuses:

Motivate young people to stay and succeed in school

Please note that grants are NOT available for individuals, capital campaigns or capital improvements. 

Amount Available

Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000.
