Franklin County Community Foundation awards more than $1,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Franklin County Community Foundation recently announced $1,630 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.
This year the board granted:
$630 to Care & Share Center, Inc. for general operations
$500 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for a Franklin MDA summer camper
$500 to the Franklin County Arts Council for the operational cost of funding the council
Al Wheless, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Franklin County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
