Haywood County Community Foundation awards $3,700 in local grants
The board of advisors of the Haywood County Community Foundation recently announced $3,700 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.
This year the board granted:
- $500 to Haywood Christian Ministry, Inc. for expedited client assistance
- $500 to Blue Ridge Health for prenatal services for Haywood County
- $1,200 to The Community Kitchen for the Feeding/Bathing the Needy of Haywood County program
- $500 to Mountain Projects for medical prescriber’s training on treating pain safer
- $500 to The North Carolina Arboretum Society for the ecoEXPLORE in Haywood County program
- $500 to the Thirtieth Judicial District Domestic Violence-Sexual Assault Alliance, Inc. for the Immigrant Outreach Project
Clay Dangerfield, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Haywood County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Haywood County Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
