Meet NCCF's new team of program officers serving the state

Meet the three NCCF team members serving the nonprofit community and facilitating local grantmaking across the state! Our program officers manage nonprofit outreach, engagement and affiliate grantmaking and scholarships for the regions they serve.

Western NC

Serving Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Catawba, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Surry and Swain counties and the Eastern Band of Cherokees community.

Tyran Hill

Tyran's experience includes serving as business development officer for the NC Community Development Initiative, local and regional policy officer for the NC Housing Coalition and organizational development consultant for the Union Miles Development Corporation. He has also served on grants committees for several foundations, including ours, as a member of the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment Committee. He is enthusiastic about philanthropy and committed to our great state, making him a strong addition to our team. He is a native of Lexington NC and would be quick to tell you it's the barbeque capitol of the state. His favorite part of his job is the scenic drives through the mountains and shopping at local businesses in every small town he visits. He plays more than seven instruments andloves the performing arts.

Central NC

Serving Anson, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash (Futrell-Mauldin), Northampton, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Vance, Warren, Wayne and Wilson counties and the Cary community

Kelly holds a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University and bachelor’s degree in leadership in the public sector from NC State University. She holds special certifications in event planning, small group facilitation, nonprofit marketing and received her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credentials. She is also an instructor for the Duke Nonprofit Management program and is the co-creator of the Leading for Tomorrow Nonprofit Capacity Building Summit. When not working hard for NC’s rural communities, Kelly can be found cooking for her family, spending time outdoors, or cheering for the Wolfpack! She is an avid supporter and volunteer for Special Olympics, Nash County native and still lives in her hometown. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with nonprofit partners. Her favorite kind of night involves a firepit, stargazing, good music and good company.

Eastern NC

Serving Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Columbus, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Gates, Greene, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico Pasquotank Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Robeson and Sampson counties

Anne is a former high school history teacher and real estate company owner. She has been a passionate nonprofit leader and volunteer for many years. She has served on the boards of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association and Airlie Gardens Foundation. She is originally from Rocky Mount and holds a bachelor of art's degree in sociology and history from Meredith College as well as social work and education certifications. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, architecture and animals. She has earned the Master Gardner certification, is a member of the N.C./U.S. Modernist Association based in the Triangle and travels to iconic structures around the world. Anne spends time with her dog a Bouvier des Flanders originating from the French Belgium border with a Japanese name "TOMO" short for Tomodachi Ichiban which translated means for best friend.
