She&nbsp;has lived in western North Carolina for 20 years and calls beautiful Madison County her home. She is a founding member of the Colonial Capital Club, an active member of the regional Meredith College Alumnae Board, a member of the Craven County Chamber of Commerce and a member of Garber United Methodist Church. She is originally from Chocowinity, N.C., and has a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in business administration and a bachelor of art degree (B.A.) in Home Economics from Meredith College.
