More than $16,000 in grants awarded to nonprofits in Currituck, Dare counties

The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation (CDCF) and the and the Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund have awarded $16,200 in grants to programs supporting the local community.

Since their inception, the CDCF and the Women’s Fund have provided over $294,000 in grants to nonprofits in Currituck and Dare counties.

About the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation Advisory Board Members

The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation (CDCF) is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year since 1999, CDCF has used dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Advisory board members live and work in Currituck and Dare counties, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities. Board members are Lisa Rose (president), Andy Keeney (vice president), Di Small (secretary/treasurer), Lynda Burek, Sheila Davies, Ralph Deger, Loismary Hoehne, Cynthia Jarvis, Sophie Jordan, David Morgan, Sheila Tyler and Ginger Webster.

The Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund leverages the power of collective giving through a local network of women that supports the community in a purposeful way. The Fund is a giving circle of the North Carolina Community Foundation that supports charitable organizations serving women, children and families in Currituck and Dare counties. Di Small and Ginger Webster serve as co-chairs.
