Members contribute a minimum of $300 annually. Membership cost includes:
$200 for the local annual grantmaking pool
$50 for administration
$25 for the Women's Fund of Bertie-Hertford Endowed Fund
$25 for the Statewide Women’s Fund
A junior membership is available for women age 45 and under. Junior members contribute a minimum of $150 annually.
Annual contributions are tax-deductible and may be paid via cash, stock transfer, distribution from IRA (if applicable), or grant from donor advised fund or private foundation. The Bertie-Hertford Women's Fund also welcomes donations through sponsorships, and members may make a higher annual donation.
Grant decisions are recommended by the giving circle’s members. All members are entitled to one vote that determines the organizations and programs that will receive annual funding.
