{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Community grants available from the Watauga County Community Foundation","url":"\/news\/community-grants-available-from-the-watauga-county-community-foundation-2","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The board of advisors of the Watauga County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.<\/p>\r\n<p>Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving needs in Watauga County and will be awarded from the Watauga County Community Fund and the Armfield and Rachel Rivers Coffey Memorial Fund.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants generally range between $1,000 and $2,500. Larger amounts may be considered for projects or initiatives with the potential to achieve significant positive impact for Watauga County. Total grantmaking will not exceed $24,000.<\/p>\r\n<p>Applications are available online beginning Feb. 28. <a href=\"\/communities\/northwestern\/watauga-county\/applying-for-grants\">Visit this page&nbsp;for information about applying<\/a>. The deadline for applications is noon March 31.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel or for individuals.
