Given in honor of Pauline &ldquo;Polly&rdquo; Hudspeth Wood and Dr. William L. Wood, Sr.<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,000 to Courtney Elementary School for the ceramics department<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to Diaper Bank of NC for Distributing Dignity to meet diaper needs in Yadkin County<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to ECHO Ministry, Inc., for transportation for women and families experiencing homelessness<\/li>\r\n<li>$500 to Forbush High School for the humanitarian award.<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,250 to Hands of Hope Medical Clinic for vision assistance<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,830 to Magnify Ministries, Inc., for Impact Yadkin<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina for Fund-A-Wish in Yadkin County<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,000 to New Horizons Home Care for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$750 to North Carolina Symphony for a virtual interactive stage for Yadkin County students<\/li>\r\n<li>$750 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Yadkin County<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Starmount Middle School for an outdoor classroom<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to Yadkin Arts Council for Cinema Spectacular 2023-2024<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Yadkin County Swim Stingrays for pool disco lanes<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Yadkinville Elementary\/Yadkin County Schools to help send students to the National Invention Convention<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;Funds for the grants came from YCCF&rsquo;s community grantmaking fund.<\/p>\r\n<p>&ldquo;We are happy to support these charitable initiatives that are so important to our community,&rdquo; said Tom Fagerli, advisory board president of the Yadkin County Community Foundation. &ldquo;We are appreciative of those who have helped us in our efforts to encourage philanthropy in our county.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;YCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board.
