The 2016 grant application period for the Greater Wilkes Community Fund will be open from Friday, June 24, 2016 to NOON on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Past grants have generally ranged from $1,000 to $2,500. Total grantmaking will not exceed $7,000. Grants are made from the Greater Wilkes Community Fund and the Kyle Hayes Memorial Endowment. Since 1994, WCF has awarded more than $100,000 in grants from the Greater Wilkes Community Fund and Kyle Hayes Memorial Endowment for projects and organizations spanning a wide range of issues including education and youth development, health and wellness, human services, historic preservation, and economic development.
