Apply for grants and scholarships
In partnership with our network of fundholders and affiliates, the North Carolina Community Foundation has over 1,300 funds that provide grants to charitable organizations and scholarships to students.
Grants
Our grantmaking programs demonstrate our fundholders’ commitment to charitable organizations. Most grants are made through endowment funds with criteria set by the donor.
We also operate more than 60 community grantmaking programs through our affiliate foundations, giving circles and other funds. These grants are awarded through an application process and fund a broad range of local needs.
Scholarships
We partner with donors to administer scholarships for students across the state. All scholarships are established through endowment funds at NCCF with criteria determined by the donor.
Scholarships are available for students from all 100 counties, including for non-traditional students, and for students attending all types of institutions, including community colleges.
More ways to partner with NCCF
We transform the collective generosity of our donors into a permanent source of community support, with a focus on the state’s rural areas. Partnering with donors and a network of affiliates, we make it easy to support causes and organizations while making a lasting impact for North Carolinians.
