What We Do
At the North Carolina Community Foundation, we bring together generous people and connect them to causes and organizations they care about.
Our Philanthropic Network
We believe in the power of permanent philanthropy to strengthen our communities and people. By stewarding and growing donors’ gifts, our philanthropic network makes a powerful impact through robust grants and scholarships programs.Supporting fundholders
Our team members are experts in charitable giving and impactful grantmaking. We are committed is to stewarding your funds to accomplish your charitable goals and strengthen your philanthropic impact.
Our team lives in all regions of the state and understands North Carolina. This makes it easy for us to help donors determine the best method of giving to achieve their philanthropic goals.
Community leadership
We have 53 affiliate foundations serving 60 counties. The local leaders of our affiliates know their communities and can make grants to local causes through their community grantmaking funds.
Our affiliates also act as convenors, bringing people together to identify needs and opportunities in each community we serve.
Support for women, children and families
Our women’s giving circles are designed to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating membership and increasing charitable contributions.
NCCF proudly supports these giving circles in providing grants to organizations supporting local women, children and families.
Responding when NC needs help
We’ve raised and distributed over $10 million to charitable organizations through funds dedicated to providing support during the COVID-19 pandemic and after natural disasters.
