“When donors come together, their generosity becomes a powerful, permanent source of support for our Ashe County community.” said April Blevins, advisory board president of the Ashe County Community Foundation. “We are proud to help steward giving so it can make a real impact today and build a legacy for generations to come.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from ACCF’s community grantmaking fund, the Daniel Lee “Dan” Eldreth Memorial Endowment, the Melinda Hamrick Children’s Fund Endowment and the Virginia S. Hunt Fund for the Care of Animals. Each year, ACCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
