Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation awards more than $5,000 in grants
The Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $5,410 in grants to three organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $1,000 to Beaufort County Community College to support transportation for Beaufort County students
- $3,410 to Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry for Ending Hunger Instability
- $1,000 to Ruth’s House for Survivor Success
“Organizations like these are essential to our local community,” said Julio Morales, advisory board president of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation. “When donors come together through BHCF, their giving goes further toward supporting essential charitable organizations and nonprofits.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from BHCF’s community grantmaking fund. Each year, BHCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
