“It is vital to support local nonprofits and community organizations to ensure community resilience,” said Michelle Gregory, advisory board president of the Carteret Community Foundation. “Our grants are dedicated to helping build strong, resilient communities.”
Funds for 2025 grants came from CCF’s community grantmaking fund, the J. O. and Ruth Barbour Memorial Fund for Elementary Education in Carteret County, the J. O. and Ruth Barbour Memorial Fund for Wildlife Habitat Conservation, and the Pearl’s Pantry Fund. Each year, CCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
The Carteret Community Foundation hosted a community celebration at the Morehead City Country Club on Nov. 13. They celebrated 20 years as an affiliate of NCCF and their 2025 grantees.
