Cary Women’s Giving Network awards $18,000 in grants, hosts event honoring recipients
The Cary Women’s Giving Network, a North Carolina Community Foundation giving circle, has awarded $18,000 in grants to five organizations supporting the local community.
The giving circle granted:
- $5,000 to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle for Pathways to Ending Hunger – Food Recovery and Distribution
- $5,500 to Made4Me, Inc. for Making Abilities Possible
- $5,000 to Meals on Wheels of Wake County for Providing Meals and Care to Homebound Seniors in Cary
- $1,000 to North Carolina Symphony for Music Discovery for Cary Preschoolers
- $1,500 to Snacks for Kids for general operating support
“Partnering in support of local nonprofits and organizations helps strengthen our Cary community for generations to come.” said Mari-Jo Hill, grants chair of the Cary Women’s Giving Network.
CWGN members and representatives from the nonprofits gathered on June 8. Nonprofit leaders spoke about their mission and goals of their organizations.

Each year, the Cary Women’s Giving Network uses dollars from its endowment to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
