“Supporting local nonprofits and community organizations helps keep Chowan County vibrant and connected.” said Liz Brentjens, advisory board president of the Chowan Community Funds Foundation. “We’re proud to partner with our donors in support of these organizations and the vital work they do.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from CCFF’s community grantmaking fund and the Ann L. Sams Endowment. Each year, CCFF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
