Craven County Community Foundation accepting grant applications beginning 3/6

The board of advisors of the Craven County Community Foundation will begin accepting grant requests on March 6 for community projects funded from the Craven County Community Fund and its two component funds, the Richard Chapman Cleve Fund and the Nelson Family Memorial Endowment Fund.

Proposals are sought in support of broad charitable purposes in the areas of arts and humanities, education, the environment, health, human services, public and societal benefit and youth development. Monies are available for nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations addressing these needs in Craven County, according to John Kirkland, grants chair. Grants typically range from $500 to $10,000.

Applications are available online only here and will not be available for Craven until March 6. The deadline for submitting applications is noon April 14, 2015.
