Franklin County Community Foundation awards more than $4,000 in grants
The board of advisors of the Franklin County Community Foundation has awarded $4,030 in local grants from its community grantmaking fund and the Franklin County Education Fund Endowment.
The board granted:
- $500 to the Autism Society of North Carolina for autism resource specialists in Franklin County
- $530 to Care and Share Center, Inc. for general operating support
- $500 to the Franklin County Humane Society/DBA as Paws for Life NC for Keep Them Together
- $500 to Made4Me, Inc. for the Making Abilities Possible project
- $500 to the North Carolina Symphony for Music Discovery for Franklin County preschoolers
- $500 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Franklin County
- $1,000 to Visions Educational Learning & Tutoring Services, Inc. for general operating support

About the Franklin County Community Foundation
The Franklin County Community Foundation (FCCF) was founded in 1991 and is led by a local volunteer advisory board that helps build community assets by creating permanent endowments, making grants, and leveraging leadership and partnerships – all for the benefit of Franklin County.
The FCCF board advises the Franklin County Community Fund and the Franklin County Education Fund Endowment to support local needs. The competitive grants program is held annually.
Advisory board members live and work in Franklin County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities. In addition to Andrejev, board members include Gerald Lloyd (vice president), Cherry Ayscue (secretary), Diane Fleming, Holt Kornegay, Ruth Wheless, Zelma Williams and Melissa Wolfe.
The FCCF makes it easy to support your community. You can open an endowment for your favorite cause at any time or contribute to an existing fund in any amount.
