Franklin County Community Foundation awards more than $5,000 in grants

The Franklin County Community Foundation has awarded $5,100 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.

The board of advisors granted:

  • $1,400 to Autism Society of North Carolina for autism resource specialists in Franklin County
  • $650 to Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas for Franklin County Childhood Cancer Safety Net
  • $650 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Franklin County
  • $1,000 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics North Carolina – Franklin County
  • $1,400 to Vision’s Educational Learning & Tutoring Services

Funds for the grants came from FCCF’s community grantmaking fund.

“These local organizations deserve our support,” said Pamela Andrejev, advisory board president of the Franklin County Community Foundation. “And there’s no better place to invest than in your own community.”

FCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, FCCF uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.
