Hoke County Community Foundation awards more than $12,000 in local grants (June 2018)

The board of advisors of the Hoke County Community Foundation announces $12,136 in local awards from its community grantmaking fund at their recent awards dinner.

This year the board will grant:

$1,815 to the American Red Cross for the Sandhills chapter disaster response and preparedness
$500 to Boy Scout Troop 460 at Antioch Presbyterian Church for the adult training program
$3,906 to Don Steed Elementary School for the Drumming Our Way Through Hoke County program
$500 to Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines for the Hoke County Girl Scout Leadership Experience program
$1,500 to the Hoke County Association for the Developmentally Disabled for the Outdoor Learning Environment program
$1,500 to the Hoke County Partnership for Children and Families for the family literacy program
$1,600 to the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Hoke County 4-H for the 2018 Hoke County 4-H Summer Enrichment Program
$815 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for the Star Pupils Hoke County program

Jeff McNeill, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Hoke County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so important to our community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Hoke County Community Fund and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
