“Strengthening our community starts with supporting the organizations doing the work on the ground,” said Chris Coudriet, advisory board president of the New Hanover County Community Foundation. “As a community foundation, we also help donors turn their generosity into enduring support across New Hanover County.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from NHCCF’s community grantmaking fund, the Food Bank of Coastal Carolina Fund, the Lucille Murchison Marvin Fund and the Suzanne and George Taylor Endowment.
NHCCF has deep roots in southeastern North Carolina. A descendant of the former Community Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina, it has been serving the community since 1987 and is led by a local volunteer advisory board that understands community needs.
Each year, NHCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
