Rockingham County Community Foundation awards nearly $10,000 in grants
The Rockingham County Community Foundation has awarded $9,800 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $500 to Dan River Basin Association for Inspire Clean Water
- $500 to Fine Arts Festival Association of Rockingham County for general operating support
- $1,000 to Gracefully Giving Food Pantry for general operating support
- $2,000 to Help, Incorporated: Center Against Violence for general operating support
- $2,000 to Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad, Inc. for water rescue
- $1,300 to Rockingham County Arts Council for Piedmont Instrument Classes for Kids (PICK)
- $1,500 to The Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund for Barry’s Feeding Friends
- $1,000 to The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Reidsville for Healthy Habits
Funds for the grants came from RCCF’s community grantmaking fund and the Apple Foundation Endowment for Rockingham County.
“There’s no greater joy than seeing this community come together” said Robbie Citty, advisory board president of the Rockingham County Community Foundation. “And these organizations play a vital role in that effort.”
RCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, RCCF uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.

Rockingham County Community Foundation Advisory Board Members
Advisory board members live and work in Rockingham County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities.
