Wake Board of Directors Grants to Three Local Non-Profits

The Board of Directors of the Wake County Community Foundation announces three $1,000 awards from its community fund, according to Natalie Rose, Board President.

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

Rose thanked the community for support of the Wake County Community Foundation.  “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said.  “These three agencies are keeping families together, and we are proud to be able to support them through contributions from the community.”

Howard Wasserman, Grants Committee Chair, noted that the Board was continuing to reach out to small non-profits in Wake County. “We deliberately narrowed our focus to non-profits with smaller budgets that are working hard to reach people affected by the economic downturn,” he said. “We know that these grants will have a large and immediate impact on the work that they’re doing.”
