Wayne County Community Foundation awards grant to United Way of Wayne County
The Wayne County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded a $2,390 grant to the United Way of Wayne County.
The grant will support the U-CAN (United Community Assistance Network) Program which supports resources and referrals for individuals and families facing personal and/or economic challenges.
“This grant will help connect Wayne County residents facing personal or financial challenges with the resources and support they need,” said Robert B. Logan, advisory board president of the Wayne County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support United Way of Wayne County and its work to strengthen our community.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from WCCF’s community grantmaking fund. Each year, WCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make a grant to an eligible local organization, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
