Criteria

Eligible applicants are students who attended high school in Macon County North Carolina or any one or more of the counties in the far western part of North Carolina (that is the counties of Cherokee, Graham, Clay, Swain, Macon, Jackson, Haywood, Madison, Buncombe, and Henderson) and who are pursuing a college or postgraduate level degree in the field of nutrition with emphasis on the study of natural foods and the vegetarian lifestyle.
