Applying for grants

The Duplin County Community Foundation (DCCF) will accept grant applications from June 28, 2024, to NOON on July 30, 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted, including late submissions due to technology issues. Funds are available for qualified charitable organizations serving the local community.

Grants from the community grantmaking fund typically range from $500 to $1,000. Grants from the Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement typically range from $500 to $5,000. In 2023, DCCF awarded $15,840 in grants through this competitive process. Learn more about past grant recipients.

Grants will be awarded from the community grantmaking fund and the Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement fund, which supports programs focusing on youth in Duplin County.

How to apply

DCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. Organizations must apply for grants using NCCF’s online application system.

  • Read the guidelines before you apply. Your application may not be considered if you fail to follow any of these guidelines.
  • If this is your first time applying, follow the instructions in Training Module I to create a profile. If your organization already has an account use your information to log in.
  • Follow the instructions in Training Module II to add a grant application. Once registered, you can access more information about the application process.

About DCCF’s grantmaking

Founded in 2005, the Duplin County Community Foundation is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, DCCF uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.

Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement grants are available to local organizations with programs focusing on youth in Duplin County. Priority is given to proposals that incorporate a holistic approach and include one or more of the following focus areas:

  • Motivate youth to stay and succeed in school
  • Foster positive youth-adult engagement through mentoring
  • Strengthen gang awareness and prevention efforts
  • Promote participation in philanthropy
  • Provide leadership opportunities and employment skills training
  • Increase likelihood of a successful transition to adulthood
  • Develop financial literacy
  • Encourage engagement in community service
  • Promote mental and physical health and well-being
