$22,000 in grants awarded to organizations serving Currituck, Dare counties
The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation and the Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund, both part of the North Carolina Community Foundation, have awarded $22,000 in grants to eight organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors for CDCF granted $12,000 to the following organizations from their community grantmaking fund:
- $3,000 to Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for Meals-on-Wheels Currituck-Dare
- $2,000 to Beach Food Pantry for general operating support
- $1,500 to Community Care Clinic of Dare for general operating support
- $2,500 to Kids First, Inc., for Comprehensive Evidence-Based Child Victim Services
- $3,000 to Lower Currituck Food Pantry for general operating support
“We are proud to support these outstanding organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of members of our community,” said Andy Keeney, advisory board president of the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation. “Through these grants, we’re helping to strengthen food security, healthcare access, and child advocacy services.”
The Women’s Fund granted $10,000 to the following organizations:
- $2,500 to Beach Food Pantry for general operating support
- $1,000 to Interfaith Community Outreach, Inc., for Hope & Grow
- $1,500 to Kid’s First, Inc., for Comprehensive Evidence-Based Child Victim Services
- $2,500 to Lower Currituck Food Pantry for Little Red Wagon
- $1,000 to OBX Room in The Inn, for Funding Stability: Support for Rent & Emergency Meal Coverage
- $1,500 to Outer Banks Dementia Friendly for general operating support
