Morrisville Community Fund awards $1,700 in grants
The Morrisville Community Fund, a fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation, has awarded $1,700 in grants to two organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $550 to Morrisville Community Emergency Response Team for Morrisville CERT Radio Base Station Communication Equipment
- $1,150 to Shield North Carolina for a partnership with Morrisville Police Department and community organizations for empowerment and prevention
“We’re grateful to be able to support local efforts that promote safety and strengthen community connections,” said Liz Johnson, president of the Morrisville Community Fund.
Founded in 2011, the Morrisville Community Fund uses dollars from their endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org/morrisville to learn more or make a tax-deductible donation.
