Morrisville Community Fund awards $2,000 in grants

The Morrisville Community Fund has awarded $2,000 in grants to programs supporting the local community.

The fund granted:

  • $500 to the North Carolina Symphony for a music and literacy-themed Music Discovery program for preschool-aged children and their families in Morrisville
  • $900 to the Morrisville Community Emergency Response Team for equipment for the Morrisville Incident Command Center.
  • $600 to Kiran, Inc. for the Kiran Community Engagement Project to help host clinics for South Asian community members learn more about family and immigration law, US citizen's rights, financial literacy and self-care.

“These grants help shape our community and quality of life,” said Liz Johnson of the Morrisville Community Fund. “Thank you to the generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Morrisville Community Fund and made these grants possible.

The Morrisville Community Fund is a fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Tax-deductible contributions, made payable to the Morrisville Community Fund, can be mailed to the North Carolina Community Foundation, 3737 Glenwood Ave,. Suite 460, Raleigh, NC 27612. Contributions can also be made online.
