Onslow Caring Communities Foundation awards nearly $104,000 in grants 

The Onslow Caring Communities Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $103,920 in grants to 25 organizations supporting the local community. 

The board of advisors awarded the following from its community grantmaking endowment: 

Funds for 2025 grants came from OCCF’s community grantmaking fund and the Onslow County Youth Fund. Each year, OCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.  

The board also awarded grants from the Dallas Fred Allen Endowment. The Dallas Fred Allen Endowment supports organizations with services and programs focused on the humane treatment of animals and animal welfare. 

From this endowment, the board of advisors granted: 

“The importance of supporting local nonprofits cannot be overstated,” said Susan Stevenson, advisory board president of the Onslow Caring Community Caring Foundation. “Permanent philanthropy and impactful grants are crucial for community resilience.”

Onslow Caring Community Foundation Advisory Board Members
