The Pamlico County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $3,380 in grants to four organizations supporting the local community.

The board of advisors granted:

• $500 to Autism Society of North Carolina for autism resource specialists and support group in Pamlico County
• $1,380 to Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. for support for Pamlico County residents in need of civil legal services
• $1,000 to Pamlico Community College for Pamlico Pantry, supporting food insecure students
• $500 to The Salvation Army of New Bern, NC, to support Pamlico County residents with winter rent and utilities assistance

“We’re proud to support local nonprofits and community organizations doing the work on the ground,” said Joy Baker, advisory board president of the Pamlico County Community Foundation. “By partnering with donors, we turn generosity into impact and build lasting community support that our community can rely on year after year.”

Funds for 2026 grants came from the community grantmaking fund. Each year, PCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.

Founded in 2002, PCCF is led by a local volunteer advisory board that understands community needs. In addition to Baker, board members include Christa Kruetz (vice president), Scott Askew (secretary), Sally Belangia, Mary Helen Boone, Myra Hardison, Ben Hollowell, Leslie Kellenberger, Todd McFadden and Flora Moorman.
