Warren County Community Foundation awards $17,000 in grants 

The Warren County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $17,000 in grants to four organizations supporting the local community. 

The board of advisors granted: 

“Supporting local nonprofits and community organizations is essential for community strength,” said Crystal Smith, advisory board president of the Warren County Community Foundation. “Through our grants, we aim to build resilient communities.” 

Funds for 2025 grants came from WCCF’s community grantmaking fund. Each year, WCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.

Warren County Community Foundation Advisory Board Members
Advisory board members are volunteers who live and work in Warren County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities. In addition to Smith, board members include Linda Browne (secretary), Barbara Brayboy, Sears Bugg, Sterling Cheston, Al Cooper, Jennifer Franks, Chalis Henderson, Richard Hunter, Bob Lesser, Candy White and Loria Williams.
