The Watauga County Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Watauga County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

This fund provides scholarships to graduates of a high school in Watauga County or Watauga County residents graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Math, the North Carolina School of the Arts, or any other school for academically gifted students.
