Types of Funds

We offer our donors many ways to meet their charitable goals.

Donor Advised Funds

Vehicles that allow you to simplify and streamline your charitable giving. By establishing a tax-deductible donor advised endowment with NCCF, you can centralize your charitable donations, making giving easy, flexible and fun. A DAF operates much like a private foundation, but without the expense and tax-reporting requirements.

Field of Interest Funds

Established to support programs or organizations in a subject area important to the donor, such as education, preservation, the environment or the arts.

Designated Funds

Established to benefit specific organizations or programs. If a designated organization dissolves, NCCF works with you or the fund representative to identify a similar program to maintain the spirit of the original charitable intent.

Agency Funds

Established by a nonprofit organization to provide an annual source of income to support its mission or operations. An organization placing its endowment with NCCF directly benefits from inclusion in a large portfolio, with access to experienced investment managers and other endowment services.

Scholarship Funds

Provide grants for post high school educational purposes. Donors may recommend an academic focus for their scholarship funds (such as nursing, the arts or engineering) and eligibility criteria (including financial need, academic merit, geographic residence and/or community service).
