Apply for grants

The Cary Women's Giving Network will accept grant applications from March 1, 2024, to NOON on April 2, 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted, including late submissions due to technology issues. Funds are available for qualified charitable organizations serving the local community.

Grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000. In 2023, the network awarded $15,000 in grants through this competitive process. Learn more about past grant recipients.
 
Cary Women’s Giving Network members use a collaborative decision-making process to award grants to local 501(c)3 charitable organizations that have a strong impact on critical and/or emerging needs in the Town of Cary. Grant projects that focus on women and children will be prioritized. 

How to apply 

The Cary Women's Giving Network is a giving circle of the North Carolina Community Foundation. Organizations must apply using NCCF’s online application systemPlease note, any organization that receives a grant is asked to wait one year before reapplying to the Cary Women's Giving Network.

  • Read the guidelines before you apply. Your application may not be considered if you fail to follow any of these guidelines. 
  • If this is your first time applying, follow the instructions in Training Module I to create a profile. If your organization already has an account use your information to log in. 
  • Follow the instructions in Training Module II to add a grant application. Once registered, you can access more information about the application process.

About the network's grantmaking

The Cary Women's Giving Network is Led by a volunteer executive board. Each year, the network makes grants to nonprofits that help the local community.

Once the application deadline has passed, the Grants Committee vets all the applications and makes recommendations to the full Network membership. Each member votes for her choice of grant award, and final decisions are made once all the votes have been tallied. An awards ceremony is typically held to celebrate grant recipients.
