NCCF Affiliate Criteria for Success
The Criteria for Success (C4S) is a strategic plan NCCF created in partnership with our statewide affiliate network in 2019 and was refreshed in 2024. The C4S provides a common framework for success and a shared understanding of our collective work, while honoring the diversity of our affiliate communities.
It encompasses five key areas for affiliate advisory boards to focus on to be successful:
- Being a strong and committed board
- Inspiring philanthropy
- Being effective grant makers
- Promoting philanthropy
- Serving as community leaders
NCCF’s Affiliate Impact Committee and staff together have provided recommended strategies for the goals within each focus area to better support affiliate board members in making lasting and meaningful contributions to our communities. We are committed to the success of our statewide network of affiliate advisory boards and together in partnerships can achieve many things to make our communities thrive to build a stronger state. Resources
The resource guide includes goals organized by focus areas and outlines recommended strategies for each goal. It complements the Criteria for Success Annual Planning Tool which allows for goal setting, tracking and progress throughout the year. Your Community Leadership Officer will manage your board’s tool and record your goals and progress as they evolve and are completed.
