2024 Bob and Ann Cook Scholarship awarded to Augustus Carpenter

Avery County High School 2023 graduate, Augustus Carpenter was awarded the 2024 Bob and Ann Cook Scholarship in the amount of $5,690.

Carpenter was a member of the marching band while in high school and was awarded the Semper Fidelus Citizenship Award. He will attend Wake Technical Community College with a focus in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

The Bob and Ann Cook Scholarship is administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation. The scholarship is awarded annually to graduates and graduating seniors from Avery County High School who plan to matriculate at a North Carolina community college and attend on a full-time basis towards graduation.
