“With this grant, E2D will be able to expand educational opportunities to highly motivated students for whom access to technology is extremely difficult from a financial standpoint,” said E2D Founder and President Pat Millen. “We believe that having a computer at college is essential, and the Burevitch Endowment is making this possible for hundreds of students in eastern North Carolina.”

“We are deeply grateful to the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment for their generous grant to fund the Mobile Market on Market,” said NourishNC Executive Director Steve McCrossan. “With this support, we’ll continue bringing a wide variety of fresh and nutritious food directly to the neighborhoods that need it most, ensuring that no child or family goes without.”

The Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment was established at the North Carolina Community Foundation in 2015. Grants are made to Burevitch’s designated nonprofits and through a competitive grants program. In total, the Burevitch endowment has awarded more than $9 million.
