Affiliate Impact Committee Updates – June 2025

The NCCF Affiliate Impact Committee met on May 28 at our Raleigh office.
Members were welcomed by new NCCF statewide board chair, John Willingham. John reflected on the growth of our Yadkin affiliate, where he served on the board for many years. His insights offered valuable context as we shape the future of NCCF’s affiliate network.
The meeting centered on exploring how we define and measure impact within our affiliate network. Key topics included:
- The evolution of NCCF’s affiliate network
- Growth and outcomes since 2018
- Indicators of impact such as:
- Grantmaking
- Giving to unrestricted endowments
- New fund referrals
- Overall growth in funds supporting the community
Members of the AIC are dedicated leaders committed to increasing impact, strengthening the affiliate network, and helping NCCF and our affiliates best serve communities. The AIC is committed to collaborating and communicating with our affiliates and will be sharing engagement opportunities with you in the coming months.

Welcome new AIC member! We are pleased to welcome Steve Wangerin, NCCF statewide board member and founding board member of the Onslow Caring Communities Foundation. Steve brings deep experience as an affiliate leader and former chair of the NCCF statewide board. We’re excited to have him on the committee.
