Alleghany County Community Foundation awards more than $18,000 in grants

The Alleghany County Community Foundation has awarded $18,400 in grants to organizations supporting the local community. 

The board of advisors granted: 

Funds for the grants came from ACCF’s community grantmaking fund.  

“These grants are possible because of the ongoing support we have from the community,” said Brett Liverman, advisory board president of the Alleghany County Community Foundation. “They will help make Alleghany County a better place to live and work.” 

ACCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, ACCF uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.

Alleghany County Community Foundation Advisory Board Members 

Advisory board members live and work in Alleghany County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities.
