{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation awards $2,890 in grants","url":"\/news\/beaufort-hyde-community-foundation-awards-2890-in-grants","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The board of advisors of the <a href=\"\/communities\/northeastern\/beaufort-hyde\">Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation<\/a> has awarded $2,890 in local grants from its community grantmaking fund.<\/p>\r\n<p>The board granted:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>$722.50 to Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for Hyde County 2022 Meals on Wheels<\/li>\r\n<li>$500 to Beaufort County United Way for Safe Harbor motel project for the homeless<\/li>\r\n<li>$945 to Open Door Community Center for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$722.50 to Project DIRECT Legacy for Hyde County produce prescription program<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&ldquo;We are grateful to the many generous individuals who have supported the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation through the years,&rdquo; said Lee Brimmage, advisory board president of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation. &ldquo;They have enabled us to support these wonderful organizations serving our community.&rdquo;<\/p>\r\n<p>The Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF). The competitive grants program is held annually.<\/p>\r\n<p>Advisory board members live and work in Beaufort and Hyde counties, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities. In addition to Brimmage, board members include Bethany Pugh (secretary\/treasurer), Michael Adams, Read Allen, Charles Edwards, Alice Keeney, Julio Morales, Marcy Morgan, Bill Rich and Beth Wilder.<\/p>\r\n<p>The BHCF makes it easy to support your community. You can open an endowment for your favorite cause at any time or contribute to an existing fund in any amount.
