Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation awards more than $2,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation recently announced $2,060 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

• $750 to the Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for the Meals on Wheels 2020 program
• $750 to the Hyde County Cooperative Extension for the mobile refrigerated local foods trailer
• $560 to the Open Door Community Center for general operating support

Bill Rich, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
