Beaufort-Hyde launches 2014 grants season

The board of advisors of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to Kelly Crisp, board president.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Beaufort and Hyde counties. Applications are available online only. The deadline for submitting applications is April 15.

The Beaufort-Hertford Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.  The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants.  In addition to Crisp, Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation board members are: Shanon Carter, vice president and grants chair, Ed Mann, Robin Skillen, Daniel Bergevin, Charles Edwards, Pam Daw, Nicole Howard, Beth Wilder and Read Allen.
