Bertie-Hertford Community Foundation awards $3,640 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Bertie-Hertford Community Foundation recently announced $3,640 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.
The board granted:

  • $1200 to Good Shepherd Food Pantry of Bertie County for Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • $1200 to MAP Community Development Corporation for Level Up Summer Enrichment Program
  • $1240 to Union Rural Fire Department of Hertford County for Airpack Test and Repair

Penny Rose, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Bertie-Hertford Community Foundation. “These grants would not be possible without the many generous individuals who have supported our community foundation through the years,” she said. “Giving is an act of joy and we could not be more thankful to support these important organizations.”

The Bertie-Hertford Community Foundation is a growing family of philanthropic funds, source of grants for local causes and partner for donors.
