Carteret Community Foundation awards $2,500 for COVID-19 relief

The board of advisors of the Carteret Community Foundation recently announced a COVID-19 grant award of $2,500 from its community grantmaking fund.

The board’s grant is supporting the COVID Virtual Clinic Pilot with the purpose of assessing the feasibility of offering a care continuum for patients diagnosed with COVID-19 to reduce hospitalization, reduce viral exposure, assist an over-burdened health care system and reach patients with limited resources to manage COVID-19.

Debbi Harvell, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Carteret Community Foundation. “We’re proud to make this grant to create real change in our community,” she said. “This program is meeting a critical local need that we are proud to support, today and every day.”
