Cary Community Foundation awards $10,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Cary Community Foundation recently announced $10,000 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

  • $3,000 to The Carying Place, Inc. for the life and fiscal management skills and transitional housing for homeless, working families with children program
  • $1,000 to The Family Violence Prevention Center, Inc. (InterAct) for InterAct’s Lethality Assessment program
  • $1,000 to the CatchMUp Foundation for the 2018 Housing program
  • $3,000 to Kiran, Inc. for the Kiran Client Services Initiative
  • $700 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the MDA Summer Camp program
  • $1,300 to the Assistance League of the Triangle Area for Operation School Bell

Laura Martin, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Cary Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Cary Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
