Cary Women’s Giving Network awards $16,000 in local grants

The members of the Cary Women’s Giving Network recently announced $16,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

Sheila Ogle, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Cary Women’s Giving Network. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”

The Cary Women’s Giving Network was founded in 2011 by a group of local women who organized to support local needs in Cary through a giving circle. The Network supports a competitive grants program under the direction of its full membership and is a program of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
