Cary Women’s Giving Network awards grants
The Cary Women’s Giving Network, a women’s collective giving circle, awarded its first grants last week at a luncheon event in Cary.
Three local grantees were announced and presented with contributions: CORRAL Riding Academy, The Carying Place and Dorcas Ministries. The Network membership voted last month to award the grants after a competitive grant application process.
“We’re very excited to support these three nonprofits that are serving the people of Cary,” said Sarah Perkins, chair of the grants committee for the Cary Women’s Giving Network. “Our membership is eager to use their collective giving power to make a difference in the lives of people in need. These nonprofits are our first recipients, and we look forward to adding to the number of grantees in the coming years.”
The Cary Women’s Giving Circle is a fund of the Cary Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. With 35 members, the circle is expanding its membership. To learn more about the circle, email Michelle Muir.
